Power of Sisterhood: Celebrating Mentrual Health & Connection

A tea party hosted by nonprofit organization Surge for Water

In honor of Menstrual Health Day, nonprofit Surge for Water returns to host their tea party event and foster community.

From Surge for Water:

As menstruators, we’re deeply connected in many ways – our cycles being just one of them.

To deepen this connection, join us for a one-of-a-kind tea party to celebrate women’s health & wellness in honor of Menstrual Health Day.

Through gentle movement, interactive activities, and engaging conversations, we’ll cover:

  • Menstruality consciousness and wellness practices to live happier, healthier lives from puberty to menopause
  • Local and global issues surrounding period poverty & stigma and ways to make a difference!

Surge for Water is honored to bring this program to you in partnership with amazing local organizations: She Votes IL, The Period Collective, & UIC Blood Buds

We can’t wait to share a lovely afternoon over tea, coffee, and light refreshments. To help set the mood, “period” inspired clothing is encouraged – but not required. Think red, pink, etc.

This event is open to all menstruators (pre & post included). Registration includes loose leaf tea from Vahdam Teas, moisturizer from KraveBeauty, and a Take Back Bag from For Days.
