Here is a collection of work that just breathes new life into something old.  Exactly what we like to see!

Artist Sean Avery has come up with what is without a doubt an amazing use for old CDs. Instead of selling his old CDs, he creates stunning animal sculptures using shattered shards and imagination. Using a wire mesh frame, CD fragments, glue and sometimes a little paint, Sean produces these wonderful works of art that glimmer and change color depending on the lighting/angle you view the work from.

“My sculptures are all constructed with recycled materials — old CDs, computer hard drives etc, so I classify my work as “sustainable art”. They’re a lot of fun to make, but they take an extremely long time to finish, so I don’t do a lot of them.” – Sean

The CDs’ metallic sheen offers an automatic “ooh and ahh” factor. Click here to visit his DeviantArt page for more.
